Riyadh, 12th September 2001— The Kingdom of Saudi
Arabia gives particular importance to the stability of international oil market,
to the provision of supplies on continual bases, whatever the circumstances, and
to cooperation with OPEC member countries to fill any shortage that might arise
in the market for any reason, the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources
Ali bin Ibrahim Al Naimi said.
In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA)
on the situation in the international oil market, Al Naimi added that the "Saudi
oil supplies were not affected by recent events in the United States of America.
All importers of the Saudi oil are receiving stable and steady [supplies]
according to the ordinary export programs".
