Arab League Council condemns terrorist
operations in the United States
Cairo, 13th September 2001— The Council of the
Arab League strongly condemned today the terrorist operations which targeted the
United States of America on Tuesday.
In a statement issued after an urgent meeting
here at the level of permanent representatives headed by Arab League Secretary
General Amr Moussa, the Council condemned these attacks against innocent people.
It expressed its condolences and solidarity
with the American people and the families of the victims.
The Council noted that terrorism is an
international phenomena against all peoples including Arabs. It emphasized the
responsibility of world community in confronting the phenomenon of terrorism in
all its forms.
