Contract awarded for SR150m hotel

JEDDAH, 27 October — Muhammad Hersani’s Architectural Office has won the contract for the design and administration of the SR150 million Royal Mansur Hotel in Jeddah after beating off stiff competition from three international companies. The 16-story hotel with 250 rooms, suites and halls will be at a prime location in the city close to the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said Muhammad Harsani. He has designed several hotels in Jeddah, Makkah and Madinah before.
 

SAUDI, UAE, OMANI OIL MINISTERS HOLD MEETING

ABU DHABI, OCT 27, SPA -- THE TRIPARTITE CONSULTATIVE MEETING OF MINISTERS OF PETROLEUM OF SAUDI ARABIA, THE UNITED ARAB EMIRATES (UAE) AND OMAN STARTED HERE TODAY.

THEY DISCUSSED THE LATEST DEVELOPMENTS IN THE INTERNATIONAL OIL MARKETS.

THE SAUDI DELEGATION IS HEADED BY ALI IBRAHIM AL-NAIMI, THE MINISTER OF PETROLEUM AND MINERAL RESOURCES.

THE MEETING WAS CONVENED IN THE FRAMEWORK OF OPEC'S INTENSIVE CONSULTATIONS AND COORDINATION AMONG MEMBER STATES TO STOP THE DROP IN OIL PRICES AND MAINTAIN THEIR STABILITY.
 

MINISTER TO OPEN SAUDI-AGRI SHOW TOMORROW

RIYADH, OCT 27, SPA -- MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE AND WATER DR ABDULLAH BIN ABDULAZIZ BIN MUAMMAR WILL INAUGURATE HERE TOMORROW THE SAUDI AGRICULTURAL EXHIBITION, DUE TO BE ORGANIZED BY RIYADH EXHIBITIONS COMPANY.

THE EXHIBITION WILL DISPLAY ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES AND EQUIPMENT IN SPHERES OF POULTRY PRODUCTION, AGRICULTURAL CROPS, FISHERIES, DAIRIES, IRRIGATION SYSTEMS, WATER TREATMENT, CANNING OF AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS AND FODDERS.

IT WILL ALSO DISPLAY CHEMICAL MATERIALS PERTAINING TO INSECTICIDES, VETERINARY MEDICINES, MOISTURE CONTROL EQUIPMENT AND APPLIANCES FOR GREEN HOUSES.

DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC RELATIONS AT RIYADH EXHIBITIONS COMPANY MOHAMMED AL-HUSSEINI SAID MORE THAN 120 SAUDI AND 300 INTERNATIONAL COMPANIES WILL PARTICIPATE IN THE SHOW.

 

Saudi Aramco Shell Refinery (SASREF) exports reach 200 million tons.

Dammam, 17th October 2001- The total volume of export from the Saudi Aramco Shell Refinery (SASREF), since its commissioning in 1985, has reached 200 million tons. An official of the refinery told Arab news today that the refinery’s major exports, which are recognized for their high quality, include kerosene, naphtha, gasoline and heavy fuel Oil.
