Saudi Arabia is seeing an
influx of international hotels, with Hilton, Holiday Inn and Le
Meridien all opening properties this year.
The 150-room Holiday Inn Hafr El Baten which opens in March, has
meeting facilities and a fitness center with a pool.
Also opening in March is the 150-room Al Ahsa Holiday Inn Hotel at Al
Hofuf, which will be aimed at business, leisure and pilgrim traffic.
A third Holiday Inn, Al Khobar on the east coast, is due to open in
May, with 104 rooms, a business center, meeting rooms and fitness
Meridien Hotels & Resorts will open a 243-room hotel in the city
of Madinah early September.
The Hilton group is opening its first hotel in Jeddah this summer,
with 422-rooms, a health club, and two swimming pools.
