Saudi proposal for permanent
secretariat for Energy Forum well received

Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz,
the Deputy Premier and Commander of the National Guard has sent a
cable of thanks and appreciation to the Minister of Petroleum and
Mineral Resources, Engineer Ali bin Ibrahim Al-Naimi and all members
working in the Organization Committee of the Seventh International
Energy Forum on the conclusion of the Forum here recently.
The Minister of Petroleum said the
Crown Prince's proposal of setting up the Forum's permanent General
Secretariat in Riyadh has had been given a positive reception by
official delegations participating in the Forum, noting that many
delegations approved the proposal, while others approved it in
principle, promising to study it extensively and carefully.
