Saudi Arabia topped Arab countries for
the inflow of foreign investments in 1999 by receiving $4.8 billion,
54.7 per cent of all foreign investments received by Arab countries in
the year, the Arabic newspaper 'al-Eqtisadiah' reported.
Egypt came second by attracting $1.5
billion foreign investment or 17.1 per cent of the total, followed by
Morocco with $847 million, 9.7 per cent of the total.
