Hertz Saudi Arabia has signed a
new agreement with Saudi Arabian Airlines, giving members of the
carrier's Alfursan Frequent Traveler loyalty program a broader range
of Hertz car rental benefits worldwide.

In addition to earning Alfursan miles for rentals at any Hertz outlet
around the world, members will qualify for car rental discounts, as
well as free or discounted Hertz #1 Club Gold membership, which brings
the benefit of not having to sign any documents when renting vehicles.
"The new agreement with Saudi Arabian Airlines reinforces our
partnership with the airline, and increases the car rental benefits
now available to Alfursan members," said Ahmed Al Wasifi, general
manager of Al-Wasilah Rent a Car Co. Ltd, the Hertz international
franchisee in Saudi Arabia.
Hertz will award Alfursan members up to 500 reward miles on each car
rental at participating Hertz locations worldwide. Alfursan miles can
be redeemed for awards such as free upgrades and flights on Saudi
Arabian Airlines.
As well as earning miles, Alfursan members will enjoy the added
benefit of discounts of up to 10% on Hertz retail rates.
In addition, the Hertz #1 Club Gold service will be made available
free of charge to all Alfursan Silver and Gold members, and for a fee
of US$50 to all other Alfursan members.
"Through our partnership with Hertz we are delighted to be able
to extend further benefits to our frequent travelers when renting a
vehicle, worldwide," said Fareed A. Eshky, manager, Frequent
Traveler Promotional Programs, Saudi Arabian Airlines.
"Furthermore, the opening of additional Hertz outlets in Saudi
Arabia means Alfursan members will have even more opportunities to
take advantage of the valuable benefits offered by our
partnership."
Hertz #1 Club Gold membership is a major asset for frequent travelers.
Instead of signing a new rental agreement every time they rent a Hertz
vehicle, members simply quote their membership number. All the
information needed for car rentals is held in a master rental
agreement, so members simply arrive at Hertz locations, and their car
is ready to go.
Hertz Saudi Arabia has opened four new branches in recent months as
part of a major expansion of its operations, and currently operates 19
Hertz locations across the country.
Most recently, the company opened a new location at King Khalid
Airport in Riyadh in September, a move which is expected to provide a
significant boost for its inbound international rental business, as
well as its down town business.
Three other new Hertz branches opened in Riyadh earlier this year in
Sitten Street, Old Airport Road and Khuraish Road.
The expansion of Hertz car rental outlets in Saudi Arabia has been
supported by the launch of a VIP luxury vehicle car rental program in
a joint venture between Al-Wasilah Rent a Car Co. Ltd and Mohamed
Yousef Naghi Establishment, the BMW agent in Saudi. This development
added 70 new BMW's to the Hertz Saudi car rental fleet, including the
new BMW X5.
Hertz Saudi Arabia also has an ongoing arrangement with the five-star
Hotel Sofitel in Palestine Road, Jeddah, giving guests booking a
luxury room, or suite, a BMW 3 series for the duration of their stay,
at no extra charge.

Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia,
Syria, the UAE and Yemen, and by general sales agents in Saudi and
