Sultan bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz, Secretary General of the Supreme
Tourism Authority of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, who is currently on
a visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has had talks with Sheikh
Rashed bin Maktoum, heir apparent of the Emirate of Dubai and Minister
of Defence of the UAE.
During the meeting, which took place at Sheikh Maktoumís Palace
yesterday, a number of issues relating to Gulf tourism affairs were
Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz and his accompanying
delegation visited the Arab Travel and Tourism 2001 Forum and
Exhibition. They toured the pavilions of Saudi Arabian Airlines,
companies and establishments taking part in the fair.
Later, they called on Khalid bin Saleem, Head of Tourism and
Commercial Marketing Department in Dubai, who briefed Prince Sultan on
the steps taken by his Department to promote tourism in the Emirate.
Prince Sultan then met with Mohammed bin Abdullah Algargawi, Chief of
the Electronic Commerce and Media Duty Free Zone in Dubai.
For his part, Algargawi gave an account on the scheme to Prince
Sultan and his accompanying delegation.
