SR 13 billion
had been allocated to the Saudi Health Ministry for the fiscal year 1421/1422

Health Dr Usama Shobokshi said that SR 13 billion had been allocated to the
Saudi health Ministry for the fiscal year 1421/1422. 'This figure constitutes
six percent of the total budget of the state', said Dr Shobokshi in a statement
to 'Sihhat-Al-Khaleej' Magazine, published by the executive bureau of the
council of the GCC health ministers.
He noted that the number of the hospitals in the Kingdom of
Saudi Arabia amounted to 314 and the total number of beds at these
hospitals amounted to 45,730 -
27,800 at the hospitals
of the health
ministry and 8,761 beds at the
hospitals of the private sector. In
addition to these, the Kingdom has 1,756
health centers, he said.
