Al-Mabani Corporation to build a technology center at Al-Jubail

RIYADH, (Saudi Arabia), January 5, 2002
- Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (“SABIC”) announced the signing
of underwriting letters by a club of banks in relation to a US$1,154
million loan facility for its 100% owned subsidiary Jubail United
Petrochemical Company. The loan facility will be used by Jubail
United Petrochemical Company to construct a petrochemical complex in
Jubail Industrial City in Saudi Arabia.
– Last week was a banner week for Saudi Aramco, for Information
Technology and for the hundreds of people who had been involved with
the SAP Project, some for the past six years.
- Saudi Aramco has been named the world’s No. 1 oil company for the
13th consecutive year, maintaining its position while a
new industry structure emerges, according to Petroleum
Intelligence Weekly (PIW), an influential trade publication.
