ARAMEX INTRODUCES AUTOMATED SHIPMENT TRACKING INFORMATION SERVICE

New service provides customers with timely information
on worldwide shipments by email or fax

ARAMEX's automated Shipment Tracking Information (STI) service allows customers to receive tracking information for their shipments by either email or fax

Dubai, January 19, 2003: ARAMEX International, the leading provider of total transportation solutions in the Middle East and Indian Subcontinent, has launched an automated Shipment Tracking Information (STI) service, providing customers with direct and timely information on their worldwide shipments.

The new service allows customers to receive automated tracking and delivery information from ARAMEX for their express shipments by email or fax. Customers will be able to choose the frequency of receiving the tracking information – tailoring this to their schedules.

“Customer service is something ARAMEX prides itself on. We created this particular service based on our customer’s requests and needs, to enable our clients to have tighter control on their express shipments, by providing them with timely and accurate information,” said Osama Fattaleh, Vice President, Near East, ARAMEX.

The STI service also has the capability to be used as an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) tool to supply larger wholesale customers with tracking information. The content and layout of the tracking information emails is personalised to fit customers’ format specifications, so they can automate the update of shipment tracking information within their own systems.

To receive the updates, customers should log onto the ARAMEX website www.aramex.com where they can register their email address or fax.
