ACER WINS “BEST NOTEBOOK” AWARD IN THE MIDDLE EAST FOR THIRD YEAR IN A ROW

Seventh annual IT Middle East Awards ceremony sees Acer dominate the mobile computing sector

Dubai, United Arab Emirates- Acer Computers (M.E.) Ltd. continued its domination of the mobile computing market by winning the “Best Notebook” award for the third year in succession at the seventh annual IT Middle East Awards ceremony at the prestigious Emirates Towers Hotel.

The ceremony was presided over by His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, chairman of Dubai Technology, E-Commerce and Media Free Zone. Acer has been highly active in the notebook sector in the past year, launching the first Aspire notebook in the UAE.

“We are delighted that the IT community in the Middle East has again recognized the superiority of Acer’s technology. Receiving the ‘Best Notebook’ award for the third time strengthens our position as the provider of the newest and best notebook computers to customers across the region,” said Krishna Murthy, general manager, Acer Computer (M.E.) Amongst the world's top ten branded PC vendors, Acer has taken the lead in bridging the technology gap between conventional PCs and notebook computers. Demand for notebooks has exploded in recent months, because of increased multi-media functionality and the convenience of all-in-one design.
