HP Proudly Displays its range of DesignJets
at the Middle East Sign and Graphic Imaging Exhibition

January 2003, Dubai, UAE - Hewlett-Packard Company is proud to display its
diverse offering of versatile DesignJets, including the large format printers
enabling businesses to print in superior quality at higher productivity rates.
The portfolio on display includes the HP Designjet 100, a highly affordable
printer positioned at small and medium businesses and individuals with in-house
printing requirements. This desktop inkjet printer enables firms to print high
quality brochures and presentations up to A1 size with a superior quality and at
lower cost.
In addition to being a convenient desktop printer for corporate office users who
infrequently need to print posters and other large documents, HP Designjet 100
is particularly suited to advertising agencies, architectural, interior design
and engineering firms and similar departments within academic institutions,
which require a range of different printing capabilities in their daily work.
These users need to produce colour images, office documents, designs or drawings
with high line accuracy and quality. Keeping in mind that these also need to be
printed from different software applications and in all possible sizes from A4
up to A1, the complexity of their requirements becomes obvious.
Also showcasing at the Middle East Sign and Graphic Imaging Exhibition will be
the new HP Designjet 5500 series, combining high productivity, uncompromising
image quality and intelligent printing solutions that simplify workflow and
allow for unattended printer operation. Designed for flexible working
environments, the HP Designjet 5500 supports multiple ink sets and a wide
variety of media and new production print modes making it easy for businesses to
produce ready-to-sell, large format documents quickly.
Aimed at GIS professionals and graphic designers requiring high-speed production
of high quality images, the 5500 series is capable of producing images at 100sq
ft/hour for glossy media and 189 sq ft/hour for coated media. In its maximum
printing speed mode, up to 569 sq ft/hour of imaging can be produced.
Positioned as an affordable, large format, colour copying, printing and scanning
copier, the HP Designjet Copier cc800ps sits at the top-end of the range and
offers the convenience of all-round capability, in-house image development in a
single, integrated space saving design. The cc800ps aims to provide technical
workgroups and GIS professionals the flexibility and quality of large format
printing, copying and scanning at a fraction of the cost of digital monochrome
alternatives.
Capable of print speeds of up to 85 sq ft/ hour, scanning speeds of 2.9
inches/second, and document enlargement up to 10,000%, the cc800ps requires no
additional PC support, and is so simple to use, no additional user training is
required.

The HP DesignJet 10ps is also showcasing at the Middle East Sign and Graphic
Imaging Exhibition. This range provides fast, photo-quality, color-accurate
calibration with the look and feel of offset prints. The server-based RIP
options supply fast return to application time for better productivity.
